Kidney Stones, without surgery
A kidney stone is a solid piece of material that forms when crystals in the urine stick together and become a hard mass. While stones can be extremely painful, most pass out of the body on their own. An X-ray or other imaging test may be used to see the stone’s size and location, and to help determine the right treatment. Note: Estimates below are based on Medica Choice network contract rates and include the total cost of treating a non-surgical kidney stone episode (for example, physician visits, diagnostic tests, medication, etc.). Estimates are shown for all types of providers that treat kidney stones.
