Bronchitis, acute
Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes (the large air passages in the lungs). Acute bronchitis is most common in winter, and often occurs during or after a cold. It typically develops rapidly and goes away within two to three weeks. The main symptoms are a dry cough that later may bring up mucus.
